Bio

Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Jyl and I'm a writer with close to a decade of experience working in various niches. In college, I majored in Public Relations and Marketing and minored in International Business. Additionally, I studied Sumerian History and did independent study in the Middle East/North Africa for nearly three years.

Because of my GPA and position as the honor society president at my college, I was able to take advantage of several unique career opportunities abroad, including travel and lifestyle writing for the largest newspaper in Africa. My former regular readership was close to 15,000,000. Since returning to the States, I've continued my writing career in the private business sector.

Since returning to the States, I've continued my writing career as a contractor in the private sector. Choosing this career path has allowed me to be a stay at home mom, which is very important to me. I love raising smart, strongly independent, productive children with bright minds and futures. I'm proud of their academic and extracurricular accomplishments, including my oldest daughters pursual of medical school! I'm so proud of them that I could rent out a billboard sign!

Though I'm proficient in nearly every area of writing, I especially love to write about politics, women's rights, human rights, legal topics, food, lifestyles, travel, crafting, small business, community involvement, family topics, parenting, pets, animals, gardening, botany, agriculture, horticulture, urban and country living, home repair, DIY, finance, and a number of other interesting topics.

I understand that the clients' needs are diverse, and I'm happy to fulfill unusual or even difficult requests. I love a good challenge!

Get in touch if you need articles or press releases, how-to guides, product descriptions, scripts, ad copy, or editing services. I'm happy to oblige!
